Blue Star Journal: Quarterbound Leather
This is a handmade journal swen on recessed cords with laced-on boards. It features blank 28lb mohawk superfine paper, hand-dyed blue leather on the spine, raised bands over a hollow for easy opening, marbled blue and gold endpages, hand sewn silk endbands, and blue star chiyogami paper on the cover.
The top and bottom edges have been ploughed by hand and painted like a night sky. The fore edge has been left raw.
The inside features at approx. 136 sheets of 28lb mohawk superfine white paper.
The leather is veg tanned goat and dyed by me.
The final book measures approx. 5.75” x 8”

My books are handmade, custom items (with the exception of any rebinds, as the textblocks are legally purchased books, and the content is not altered in any way).
