How does shipping work?

All packages to the US are shipped with a flat rate of $5.

International packages are weight-based and shipped through USPS and/or Asendia. If your country is not listed at checkout, please send me a message and I’ll see about adding it. If you would prefer UPS, send me a message and I will get you a price.

NOTE: I apologize but I can no longer sell to EU countries due to the restrictions under the new GPSR rules. I hope to be able to open my sales to the EU again in the future once guidance for small businesses becomes more clear.

Customers are responsible for all VAT, customs, and import duties and fees.

All orders are tracked (in countries where possible) and come with insurance.

Pre-made books will ship within 1-5 business days, except where otherwise noted. Usually I get it out on the next mail day. Made-to-order items will have their own estimated timelines.

Do you repair/restore books?

Yes! Some books. I have trained in restoration for 6 months under Master Bookbinder Michael L. Chrisman and feel confident taking on certain projects. Please reach out to me at thecreakyspinebindery@gmail.com with pictures and information about what you want repaired or restored and I’ll get back to you.

Do you take commissions for bespoke/custom books?

I absolutely do! Please view my Commission page for more information. I’m happy to do anything from wedding books, to rebinds, to custom copies of your favorite classic.

I will not do commissions for fanfiction or any other works which violate someone’s copyright. I absolutely can rebind modern books and put them in new coverings, but I cannot format, print, or otherwise create new copies of anything without permission of the copyright owner.

Do you accept returns?

Ready-made books may be returned within 30 days. Refunds are subject to the book being returned in the same condition you received it. Please reach out to initiate a return. Shipping costs cannot be refunded.

If you want more pictures or videos of an item before buying, feel free to ask and I’d be happy to send that to you.

Custom/Bespoke books cannot be returned, all sales are final.

What do I do if my item arrived damaged?

First, please take photos of any damage, both to the item and the packaging. All packages are shipped with insurance where possible. Then reach out to me. Depending on your item, we will discuss options of refunds or replacements.

What if my book breaks?

This has never happened, and never should happen! I’d be mortified. But if it does happen within three months of your purchase, from normal use, please contact me with photos and I would be happy to discuss repairing your book.
