Hello, I’m Creaky.

I’m a bookbinder based in Erie, PA, where I’ve lived my whole life. Sometimes you might see me around at local festivals— be sure to say hello! I love to chat about books. I’m the girl who probably looks like a witch and most likely has a cauldron nearby.

As a bookbinder, I’m primarily self-taught. I’ve been making books for three years and started my business mid-2023. I’ve loved books my entire life. I write them, I used to work at the library, I collect and read them like a grabby little gremlin… so it’s only natural that the next step was to learn how to make them.

I love to explore a variety of binding styles. If I haven’t made it yet, I definitely want to. I specialize in magical and spooky themes, I love working with moss, and I’m always down to try something ridiculous. If you have an idea, hit me up, I’d love to find a way to make it a reality.

I have trained under Michael L. Chrisman in restoration and fine binding. I look forward to taking on a few restoration clients in 2025.

I have an adorable bunny who is the center of my world and my sidekick in all binding projects. She is not allowed to help with her teeth, but she does a great job of looking cute.
