This is a leather faux rebind of Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. The cover is veg tanned leather with a raised skull shape and raised bands on the spine. The details are handpainted with black endpapers.
The edges have been painted gray with white and black speckling to resemble granite.
The book inside is the original paperback decorated in a new covering. This means the structure is only slightly more secure than the commercial printing, as the pages are not sewn. The book is completely readable and has additional layers of stability that the original copy did not, but is only a rebind in the decorative sense.
Please note that the top corner of the fore-edge is slightly uneven. This is pictured on the side and does not affect the overall structure or finish of the book. This minor flaw has been taken into account in the pricing.
